Now these two musical forces have collaborated to create the Flea signature 4-string bass guitar. Whether you play funk, rock, jazz, or any other musical style, this versatile bass will give you excellent playability to fit in any genre and can emulate the sounds Flea gets from his very own bass. The Flea J4 features a carefully balanced, contoured alder body that gives you just the right amount of mass for solid tone and is shaped for ease of play, especially for the slap and funk player. The dense composite fingerboard gives you similar performance to ebony and will not shrink or crack, and produces more sizzle on the high end. The 22-fret Quantum neck is a custom, “D” shaped shell bolt-on style made from layers of hand-formed, aerospace-grade, epoxy-impregnated carbon fibers.
